WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MEDICAL SERVICES THAT COULD BE COVERED BY ACCIDENT INSURANCE THROUGH WOLIGO?
Depending on the situation and your coverage, epidural pain management, physical therapy, rehabilitation, prothesis, accidental dismemberment, and appliances are examples of some of the services your accident insurance benefits might cover.
WHEN DOES ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVER EPIDURAL PAIN MANAGEMENT?
Benefits for epidural pain management are payable when a covered person is prescribed, receives, and incurs a charge for an epidural administered for pain management in a hospital or a physician’s office in a covered accident. This benefit is not payable for an epidural administered during a surgical procedure.
WHEN IS PHYSICAL THERPAY COVERED BY ACCIDENT INSURANCE THROUGH WOLIGO?
Benefits for physical therapy are payable when a covered person receives emergency treatment for injuries sustained in a covered accident, and later a physician advises the covered person to seek treatment from a licensed physical therapist.

WHAT DOES ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVER A REHABILITATION UNIT?
Benefits for a rehabilitation unit are payable when a covered person is admitted for hospital confinement and is transferred to a bed in a hospital’s rehabilitation unit for treatment of injuries sustained in a covered accident, and a charge is incurred.
WHAT IS A PROSTHESIS?
A prosthesis, otherwise known as a prosthetic implant, is an artificial device that replaces a missing body part intended to restore the normal functions of the missing body part.
WHEN WOULD ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVER A PROSTHESIS?
It would be payable when a covered person requires the use of a prosthetic device as a result of on or off-the-job injuries sustained in a covered accident. However, this benefit is not payable for repairing or replacing prosthetic devices, hearing aids, wigs, or dental aids, including false teeth.
WHEN WOULD ACCIDENTAL DISMEMBERMENT BE COVERED BY ACCIDENT INSURANCE THROUGH WOLIGO?
The applicable lump-sum benefit indicated in the policy for dismemberment would be paid due to on or off-the-job injuries sustained in a covered accident that occurs within 90 (in UT, 180) days of the accident.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MEDICAL APPLIANCES COVERED BY ACCIDENT INSURANCE THROUGH WOLIGO?
Benefits could be payable for the following types of appliances: a wheelchair, a leg brace, a back brace, a walker, and/or a pair of crutches.
WHEN WOULD MEDICAL APPLIANCES BE COVERED BY ACCIDENT INSURANCE THROUGH WOLIGO?
They would be payable when a covered person receives a medical appliance prescribed by a physician as an aid in personal locomotion for on or off-the-job injuries sustained in a covered accident.
WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF ACCIDENT INSURANCE CLAIMS?
Burns, emergency dental work, dislocation (separated joint), fracture (broken bones, gunshot wounds, laceration, lodging, eye injury, torn knee cartilage, transportation, and surgery are just a few examples of claims filed under accident insurance. But don’t forget, benefits for accident insurance are based on the specific plan and coverage you pick.
IF I BROKE MY LEG, WOULDN’T MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER IT?
Not necessarily. Accident insurance is supplemental insurance which means it works together with your health insurance. For example, surgery to repair a broken leg typically costs $17,000 to $35,000. If you have a high deductible or a high out-of-pocket maximum, you might have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars before your health insurance helps pay.
